Undertale – The Ruins

Their story is inspired by a well-known video game call UNDERTALE by toby fox so please don’t report me, I have changed a little bit, and although Frisk really has no gender, for the rest of the story, I’ll call her a she.

Part 1

Chapter 1

A story begins

“Ugh, where am I?” moaned the little girl. Her eyes where just perfect to just have a glimpse of what was around her. She lifted her sore back from the ground, look like she was on a bed of flowers. She looked up high, then she remembered. She had climbed a mountain, and, uh, fell into a hole. Just suddenly, a little backstory she had never heard of about their mountain appeared in her mind.

Long ago, two races ruled over the earth: Humans, and Monsters. One day, war broke out between the two races. After a long battle, humans remained victorious. They then sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell.     Many years later…

Legends say that those who climb the mountain never return. All six humans that have disappeared without a trace, but one day, A human called Chara, fell into the mountain.

With a deep fall, she broke her fall and landed on a bed of flowers. Her limbs were still in pain though, suddenly, a little goat like monster came. He helped her up from the bed of buttercups. Days passed and the human became best friends with the monster. As friends, Chara was planning to help free the monsters. She promised, when she died, Asriel, who was her name could absorb her soul and break the barrier.

Chapter 2

Talking flower

Suddenly, the backstory began fading away, looks like she will have to figure out the rest. She sprang her legs up into the air. Looks like she had her strength back, Infront of her was a doorway, a gate leading to somewhere. Let me guess, you probably guessing she is going to enter through right. Well, you’re right. As she struggled inside, she found herself in another spot. With, well, a bed of flowers. Suddenly, a yellow buttercup with a smiling face sprang up from the rest. It was looking at her with pure delight as it said, “Howdy! I’m Flowery. Hmmm, you’re new to the Underground aren’t you. Golly, you must be so confused. Someone ought to tell you how things work around here, I guess little old me will have to do. Ready?” Looking at the little cute flower, she nodded her head. And then everything changed, everything turned black and white. It looked like it was the flower who did it.

Chapter 3

Wow, you got there far to the story. Impressive huh? Anyways. As she looked around, she saw four option buttons, one said fight, the other said act. Next to the act button was item and the last one was mercy. Looking at the flower, as cute as it was, she still wanted to fight. After all, her father always said that you shouldn’t trust a stranger. She was stuck in a box but as she couldn’t reach the button. Then some little seeds appeared. “Come on!! Touch them!!” said Flowery, and so she did, the little girl touched the white seed. Suddenly, she felt pain everywhere. She could then see her health bar, after touching the white seed, it seemed that the seed harmed her for good. One health point. She couldn’t move. Flowery laughed manically. DIE, IN THIS WORLD, ITS KILL OR BE KILLED!!! Then white pellets were surrounding her. The little girl could not do anything about it, so. She stood there. Waiting for death to meet her.

Part 2

Chapter 4

“Hello? Hello?”  the little girl strangled to her feet. She looked around her. “ARRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!! Who are you?      !” She screamed. “~I am an evil goblin master!!! I’m going to eat you!!!~ okay, just kidding, I mean seriously, do you actually think I look like one of those nasty creatures?”

“Well kind of…”

“What did you say?!, look, I’m the guardian of the ruins so don’t you try to ignore me my child, if you do, you would be dead right where you are standing” She looked at her puzzled. She then sighed and walked all the way to a nicely carved wooden table. It had patterns of goats and dragons, all shapes and sizes. It’s weird though. Fell down a mountain. Met a sinister, talking flower, now a weird living goat, that can talk, and also the guardian of ‘the ruins. She just wondered, what did that flower want. I mean, he defiantly said die, but why? Whatever the reason could be, she had to find out. That’s when she remembered her flashback. She saw a goat, similar to Toriel, a small one. Mabey, he had something to do with the guardian!

Anyways… Toriel then lead the little child into a room. “This will be your room, there’s plenty of toys to play with, and remember to tidy up your room after!” But the girl wasn’t interested in the toys, it was a picture. A picture of a flower, buttercup flower, a yellow, small flower just like Flowery. But she ignored that. Slammed the door open and went into Toriel’s room. There, waiting for her, on a table was a diary. A thick book that was covered in… uh, slime trails. So, she lifted the slimy cover. And started to read the cover. All it was really was the same story in the flashback, and a few… skeleton puns… Eh, that wasn’t important though. She just wanted to go home. Family, peace, play Minecraft for 24/7. Well, she walked in front of Toriel and asked, “when can I come home?” Toriel looked confused. Home was home for her, ever since she had ended up here, she had to get used to it, and she did. The only thing was that she was a little bit lonely there. But that didn’t matter. She refused to let the human’s barrier slap the smile on her face. “Home? This is home my child, I know it’s a bit small but sooner or later you will get used to it. It’s a nice place if you blend into your surroundings.

Chapter 5

Duel of life

Suddenly, Toriel came running down a stairway, it looked like a basement stairway. Well, to the little child, it looked like an exit. So she also came running down the hallway, standing there was Toriel, Guardian of the ruins. Stairway. There she was, in the middle of the purple hallway. “You should go back my child, it’s dangerous out there, you would not want to go out there.” Toriel warned. Then she ran down the hallway further. And Frisk as well, following the noise of her footsteps. The purple hallway was cold and damp, but it looked nice from all the vines on the wall, scattered around. The took a turn left, and there she was. Infront of the doorway. She began thinking it was the exit. And it was. “you’re just like the others.” Toriel said. She looked irritated. “there’s only one solution to this… Prove yourself, prove to me you are strong enough to survive- “

Not even stopping for a breath, everything became black and white. She had the four options. Fight, act, item and mercy. She saw the same flames that she used against Flowery, blazing fireballs appeared from thin air, then swiftly shot in many directions. She got hit, as she saw her health bar came down by four hp for every fire ball she had taken damage from. Then they stopped. Now she could choose an option. She chose ‘check’, refusing to hurt the poor monster, who was only trying to protect her. It said ’80 attack, 80 defence. Knows the best for you.’ This made her think. ‘Knows the best for you?’ But she never had enough time, strait after, fire balls came whooshing through again, and oh wow, I wonder how many atoms in the thin air had been moved by the impact. The little child only had 8 hp left, then the fireballs stopped once again. This time, she chose ‘item’. She didn’t want to eat anything though, so she chose spare. Nothing happened. Soon after the flaming attacks, she was at 1 hp. There she was, kneeling on her knees. She took a deep breath. She had given up completely. The next attack was coming. She had known this was the end. She crinkled up from the floor. She could have used her bandage, but she forgot it had even existed. But when the attack came, it seemed like Toriel didn’t want to hit her. All the fireballs were running from all sides. Toriel however, stayed silent. She took her bandage and wrapped it around her legs. Her hp had gone up to 10, Toriel still stood still. Time and time again, Toriel avoided to hit her, until…

Toriel apologised… She was sorry for hurting her. She had completely stopped fighting. “No, I understand. You would just be unhappy trapped in the Ruins. The Ruins are very small once you get used to them. It would not be right for you to grow up in a place like this. My expectation… my loneliness… my fear… for you my child, I’ll put them aside.”

To be continued…
