Reality Video Games
There was once a boy called Tom who loved video games. He was twelve. Fortnite, Minecraft, Roblox, Pacman, Mario, Pokemon, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, he played them all. This was his birthday wishlist from last year:
My Bday Wishlist:
- A new Playstation
- A new XBox (NOT A BOX WITH AN “X” MARKED ON IT PLEASE)
- Roblox Builder’s Club Outrageous Membership
- Minecraft Story Mode downloaded on my I-Pad
- Unlimited Robux
- All the Fortnite skins and weapons
- A game arcade machine (NOT THE ONES YOU GET IN THE 1970S PLEASE)
- Tickets to MineCon
- FIFA 18 on my PS4
- Minecraft Official Magazine
- All the Roblox figures
- Fortnite sleepware (NOT SLEEPWARE THAT LASTS FOR TWO WEEKS)
- Pacman t-shirt
Suprisingly, Tom got ALL the things on the list!
It was the half- term holiday. Tom, as usual, was on his video- game console playing games.
“Tom, why don’t you go out to the garden and play with Pixie the dog?” his mum suggested.
“How many times have I told you Mum, do not disrupt me while i’m playing on my console or my Ipad or whatever.” Tom said as he slammed the controller on the carpet. “You know you can play sports games on a console, instead of getting sweaty outside? Now, leave me alone!”
“But Tom, when I was a girl, i had to-“
“JUST LEAVE ME ALONE, I’M BUSY FIGHTING A CREEPER IN MINECRAFT! IT’S HARD MODE, SO IF I DON’T DO THIS, I WON’T RESPAWN AND DIE!!”
Mum went out of Tom’s bedroom. She went to her bedroom and went on her phone. She texted to he friend from work:
You: hi Jo!
Jo: hi Kirsty!
You: can u help me with something??
You: it’s my son. he’s addicted to video games. can u help?
Jo: interesting… let me think. how about boot camp? they’re are loads in America. they’re bloomin’ expensive though.
You: na… my wallet is empty.
Jo: sorry… i dunno any other choices.
You: that’s ok. thanks 4 your help. bye!
Meanwhile, Tom was on his laptop playing Minecraft in his bedroom. It was his favourite game, and he thought he was the best player in the world. Suddenly, the screen went blurry. It was like the screen that appears when you step inside a nether portal, or an ender portal, but much more blurry. Suddenly, his bedroom went black. BANG!
Silence. He was inside the game! Suddenly, he saw a pack of Minecraft zombies approaching him.
Will he survive?
